ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Ashley is now firmly established as one of the most well-respected young stylists in the industry, following an industrious ten year career span with Royston Blythe. His credentials focus primarily on his photographic collections, as his outstanding work has been constantly requested for national and international front covers and fashion pieces, but also on his session styling, media presence, and industry awards.
In the press, Ashley regularly assists Nick and Royston with styling for top magazine titles including Vogue, OK! And Hello magazine, and is a regular fixture on the covers of all the glossy hair magazines.
He is often in demand for catwalk shows, primarily for Harvey Nichols, for whom he styles several times a year. His work has also been seen on runway models for top designer Christian Lacroix and in Manchester for Philip Armstrong.
In terms of competition success, Ashley is the proud recipient of arguably the top accolade in the UK industry - Winner of the Fellowship of British Hairdressing International FAME team - as well as achieving finalist at the L’Oreal Regional Colour Trophy, and several times finalist in the prestigious British Hairdressing Awards, in both Newcomer of the Year and Midlands Hairdresser of the Year categories. He passes on his photographic skills to our young apprentices, helping them to direct their training shoots, and was very proud when they consequently achieved 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in a national competition this year.
Ashley’s speciality is sharp precision cutting, but always with an overtly feminine feel.
